Clements Family Photo

Love this family! It's fun photographing old friends I haven't seen in years. It never really feels like work! This was lit with black background with 1/2 cto gel on the background through white lighting x800. The key light was an Einstein through a large Softbox camera right. Fill was provided by EXD400 in Paul Buff PLM camera left. Rim and hair light with gridded softboxes on either side and high. http://flic.kr/p/mUfRsR

Blue Jade

First ever fashion shoot, and I'm lovin it! It's invigorating to jump out of your comfort zone and try something new! You never know what excitement and joy lies ahead. This image was lit with a einstein 640 through a gridded beauty dish boomed overhead. Fill light was provided by an EXD400 light through a large softbox just behind me. Two striplights are placed on either side of Jade to add a bit of rim light. In post blue light was added entering from the top of the frame to tie in the hat and chair which adds a tranquil, calming feeling to the image. Skate King

I've had the perfect background for a long time and just needed a skater with board! Enter Miles Tucker. Doesn't hurt that he's comfortable both in front of and behind the camera! The park is Jefferson Skate Park which is part of the 6th largest park in Seattle. And would you check out that view! Not talking about Miles, but he's not too hard on the eyes either. You've got the mountains to your left with the goreous seattle skyline just to the right of him. One of the best features of this park happens to be what makes this photo work so well. That would be the giant Tower of Lights for night skating! If you haven't checked it out, you owe it to yourself to swing by sometime! It has a huge playground for little ones with several things to keep the adults entertained as well! This particular shot of Miles was taken in the West Seattle Studio. Gridded beauty dish boomed above with a large softbox below for fill. Two strip lights on either side to emulate the large lights in the background that he was dropped in later. http://flic.kr/p/hsM6L9

Leading Lines

An image a couple definitely in love! I love the leading lines of the bridge in this image. They draw your eye right to the couples embrace. It was an overcast day which was great for lighting but challenging to keep the background bright enough. Shadow recovery to the rescue with Lightroom! Photographed with Large Octabox boomed overhead with Einstein 640. http://flic.kr/p/gH4Lw9

We did it!

The ladies showing their mad ups after the weight of the wedding ceremony was lifted from everyones' shoulders. I don't know how Holly managed to get that high with a dress that heavy and that form fitting! Thanks girls for being so awesome and helping me have fun on your special day! Lit with single large Octabox just boomed over my head while I lay on the ground to snap this image. Miles keep an eye on that boom for me my man! http://flic.kr/p/gqWK4Q

Bridges of Love

Victor's pic of the session with Yesica at the Arboretum. Been incredibly busy with other work and was excited to get to this image and add some finishing touches. This particular day was very cloudy with a few moments of sunshine peaking through. Using a large modifier really helped to mask the use of flash and keeps the image a little more natural looking. Lit with a single Einstein 640. http://flic.kr/p/gcniha
